Bernheim Middle School

Happy Monday Bernheim Families,

We had an incredible first week of school - Ren Rallies, walkabouts, authentic learning projects, BERNing Questions, plus a million other things! Our students showed up, showed out, and showed us that this year will be special at BMS!

Families - your child brought home some papers today to review and sign, including handbook acknowledgement, our Title I Parent Compact, information on communication and policy updates, etc. Please make sure the documents to sign are returned by THIS WEDNESDAY, August 20th.

See below for a few updates from our team.

INSTRUCTION

Students will begin their iReady diagnostic testing this week in both math and language arts. This assessment will be given three times this year and replaces last year’s ELS Pathways to Proficiency benchmark. The results will provide us with valuable insight into your child’s strengths and areas for growth, helping us better support them as learners in both math and reading.

  • Math Diagnostic: Tuesday, August 19 and Wednesday, August 20

  • Language Arts Diagnostic: Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22

We encourage students to get plenty of rest, arrive ready to do their best, and show that they are Game On!

COUNSELOR

Welcome back, Bruins! We’re so happy to be together again for another exciting school year. As we begin, let’s remember that kindness goes a long way—whether it’s offering a smile, lending a hand, or encouraging a friend, each act makes our school community stronger. I am here to support every student and look forward to helping make this a positive, successful year. Please know my door is always open—I’m happy to assist and walk alongside you in making this the best year yet!
