The Main Gym will be set up to mirror the testing environment students will experience during KSA administration, helping them feel prepared and confident.

🤖✨ Transformational Lesson of the Week: Ms. Pelfrey! ✨
|
We’re proud to recognize Ms. Pelfrey as our "Transformational Lesson of the Week!" Students in English 2 explored The Hobbit in a lesson that truly embodies transformational learning. In this activity, students chose three characters and selected four songs for each, citing passages from the novel to explain their choices. Here’s how the lesson demonstrates key transformational qualities:
🎯 Personal: Students connected literature to their own musical tastes and interpretations, making the story meaningful to them.
🧭 Learner-Led: Students made their own choices about characters and songs, guiding their learning and creative expression.
🌎 Real-World: By integrating music and storytelling, students explored connections between literature and contemporary media, reflecting how stories resonate beyond the classroom.
🏆 Learner-Owned: Each student’s final project was unique, reflecting their thinking, analysis, and personal understanding of the novel.
This lesson moves beyond traditional teaching and learning by empowering students to make meaningful choices, think critically, and express themselves creatively. Instead of passively receiving information, students actively shape their own learning, connecting classroom content to their own interests and the world around them.

Quarter 3 ROAR Rally = a great day to celebrate! 🐾🎉
|
We are so proud of our students for meeting our school-wide expectations and earning the opportunity to celebrate together!
Last week’s ROAR Rally was planned by our amazing Leadership students, who put together a fun and competitive Tuff Puff Volleyball Tournament between grade levels. After an exciting showdown, the juniors came out on top—and didn’t stop there! They took on our staff and secured another win! 🏐🔥
Students enjoyed hot dogs, chips, and drinks, making the day even more memorable. A huge THANK YOU to Chef Sanchez and our Culinary students for grilling out and taking care of both staff and students!
