Safe Schools Week 🛡️✨

This week, Bullitt Central High School joins schools across Kentucky in celebrating Safe Schools Week! We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all Cougars, and we invite you to partner with us in this important effort.

📚 Gatton & Craft Academy Parent Night

Join us on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:30–7:00 PM in the Bullitt Central Library to learn about two amazing opportunities for high-achieving students in Kentucky!

Representatives from The Gatton Academy (WKU) and The Craft Academy (Morehead State) will share how students can earn up to 60+ hours of free college credit during high school while experiencing university life.

Who should attend? Families of students in grades 6–10, especially interested freshmen and sophomores.

🎓 Junior & Senior Class Meetings

Herff Jones will be on campus Tuesday, September 30th to meet with Juniors and Seniors about class rings, caps and gowns, announcements, and other senior supplies.

Seniors – 8:30 AM, Auditorium
Juniors – 9:00 AM, Auditorium

🏈 Football Homecoming Week: September 29th–October 3rd 🎉

Join us as we celebrate Homecoming Week at Bullitt Central!

Homecoming Spirit Week – September 29th–October 3rd
Students are encouraged to show their Cougar Pride and participate in the themed dress-up days all week long!
Homecoming Parade – Thursday, October 2nd at 6:00 PM
If your business or organization would like to participate, please complete and return a parade application by Friday, September 26th at 3:00 PM.
Homecoming Football Game – Friday, October 3rd vs. Jeffersontown High School
Kick-off is at 7:30 PM. The theme is PINK OUT—let’s pack the stands and show our Cougar Pride!
Homecoming Dance – Saturday, October 4th from 7:30–10:00 PM
Tickets go on sale during lunch starting Monday, September 29th for $20. The dance is semi-formal and open to Bullitt Central students only.

Join us for our annual Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday, October 23rd from 5:30–7:30 PM!

Transformational Lesson of the Week! ✨🩺

We’re excited to recognize Ms. Hensley for leading an outstanding transformational learning experience in her Allied Health classes!

Her students began by exploring healthcare careers with guest speaker (and BC alum!) Liz McGuire, Director of Health Education at the Bullitt County Health Department. They then took their learning beyond the classroom—visiting our local elementary schools to teach younger students the importance of proper handwashing.

This lesson went far beyond health skills. It empowered students to:
✅ Apply knowledge in real-world settings
✅ Serve as leaders and role models in the community
✅ Demonstrate our Graduate Profile competencies as Community Contributors, Effective Communicators, and Productive Collaborators

Ms. Hensley’s work exemplifies what transformational learning looks like at BCHS—connecting students to careers, to their community, and to meaningful learning experiences that last.

Way to go, Ms. Hensley and Allied Health students! 🐾

First Club Day of the Year! 🎉

Today was our first club day of the year at Bullitt Central! Students had the chance to explore new interests, connect with peers, and get involved in all the amazing clubs our school has to offer.
