| "Dear BEHS Families,
As we wrap up another great week at Bullitt East High School, I want to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding things happening across our building. Each day, I am reminded how proud I am of our students and staff. Classrooms are filled with energy and meaningful learning. Students are asking thoughtful questions, collaborating with one another, and truly leaning into the work. It is clear they are not just completing assignments; they are growing. Our counseling team is working hard on scheduling for next school year, make sure you ask them about their class choices for the upcoming school year.
This week, our students represented us well at the regional FBLA conference. Their professionalism and leadership were on full display, and we are proud of how they represented Bullitt East. Our athletic programs also continue to make us proud. Congratulations to our boys wrestling team, with several student-athletes qualifying for the state tournament. A huge congratulations to our girl's basketball team on winning the district championship; an accomplishment that reflects tremendous dedication and teamwork.
I also want to thank our boy's basketball team for representing BEHS so well throughout the season. Their effort, sportsmanship, and commitment to one another never wavered.
Thank you, families, for your continued support. The partnership between home and school makes all the difference. It is a great time to be a Charger, and we are grateful to support your children each day." |

Charger Connect Weekly Focus |
Charger Connect Update:
This week during Charger Connect, students focused on how to recognize and address bullying when they see it at school. They learned about school rules and expectations, as well as how to safely respond to and report bullying situations. Through these discussions, students developed a deeper understanding of bullying and the important role they play in creating a respectful and supportive school environment.
Students also watched a video from the “Bigger Question, Bigger Table” series, where students shared honest conversations about bullying and the challenges that can come with speaking up. This helped our students reflect on the importance of standing up for others and knowing that reporting bullying is a way to support and protect their peers.
We are proud of our students for engaging thoughtfully in these conversations and helping build a stronger, kinder school community. Counseling Update:
This week, our 9th–11th grade students participated in individual scheduling meetings with counselors, department heads, and assistant principals to plan their courses for the upcoming school year. During these one-on-one conversations, staff members carefully entered each student’s course requests while also taking time to talk through their interests, goals, strengths, and future plans.
These personalized meetings are a special and important part of our school’s commitment to supporting every student. Each student was allowed to ask questions, explore pathways, and make thoughtful decisions about their academic journey. Whether students are preparing for advanced coursework, career pathways, dual credit opportunities, or meeting graduation requirements, these conversations ensure their schedules reflect their individual goals and aspirations.
We are proud of our staff for investing this time in every student and proud of our students for taking ownership of their futures. These meaningful conversations help set the foundation for success and remind our students that they are seen, supported, and valued. |
