Friday Message from Mr. Lightle

"What an incredible week it has been! Our halls were filled with energy and pride as students went all out for Homecoming Week. From creative outfits to wearing our class colors, it was wonderful to see our school spirit on full display during every one of our theme days.

Beyond the festivities, our students have been leaning into their studies with impressive focus. There is a tremendous amount of learning happening in our classrooms right now, and we are so proud of the hard work and dedication your children are showing toward their academic goals. Thank you for continuing to encourage them to be their best.

Important Dates to Remember

Monday: No School (Enjoy the long weekend!)

Tuesday: Classes Resume

March 5, 2026 – SAT Bootcamp: We will host an SAT Bootcamp for all juniors during the school day. Juniors will receive valuable information and intensive training for the exam. Students will learn how the SAT differs from the ACT, receive instruction on the structure of the Math and English sections, and get specific content-area training.

March 5, 2026 – SAT Parent Night: Join us in the library to learn more about the SAT and how it differs from the ACT. We will also share information regarding the study resources available to your students. There will be two sessions: one at 6:00 PM and one at 7:00 PM. More information will be sent out soon.

We hope you and your family have a restful, relaxing break. We are excited to welcome everyone back on Tuesday morning—refreshed, energized, and ready to dive back into learning! We are proud to partner with you to support our students’ success."

Important BCPS Updates:

We are pleased to announce that Online Registration (OLR) for the 2026-2027 school year will officially open on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Please note a significant update to this year’s OLR process: we will be requiring all registering existing families to upload a current Photo ID/Driver's License of Parent/Guardian with their current address and 2 proofs of residency.

This is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy of our enrollment records and to ensure we have updated addresses for all our families.

We encourage you to begin preparing your necessary residency documentation ahead of the registration opening date, which will be March 9th.

Below you will find a list of acceptable documents:

Current Photo ID/Driver’s License

2 - Proofs of Residency:

-Authentic home builder contract with approved district transfer, lease, closing statement, or other home dwelling document.

-Utility bill: Current electricity, gas or water bill with current address

-Current employee check stub with current address

-Current vehicle registration that matches the driver’s license submitted

-Government agency correspondence with current address

    -Voter registration card

Thank you for your assistance as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.
