Friday Message from Mr. Lightle

"Dear BEHS Families,

What an incredible week at Bullitt East! I want to give a huge shoutout to our junior class for their focus and determination during our Junior SAT Bootcamp this week. Watching our students dive deep into test strategies and prep work with such grit reminds me of the excellence that defines Charger Nation. Please mark your calendars—the official SAT Day is coming up on Wednesday, March 18.

I also want to encourage everyone to come out and show some major school pride for our Lady Chargers! Our girls' basketball team is playing in the Regional Final tomorrow at5:00 PM at Atherton High School. It is a Black Out, so wear your black and bring the energy—the more support we have in the stands, the better! Beyond the bootcamp and the court, our students continue to grow each day through meaningful, hands-on learning. We are beyond proud of their effort. Have a safe and restful weekend!

Mr. Lightle, BEHS Principal

Charger Connect Weekly Focus

Charger Connect Update:

Today during Charger Connect, students completed their Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs). The ILP outlines each student’s future goals and post-secondary plans.

Parents should have received an email from SchooLinks when their child submitted their ILP so they can review and sign off on the plan.

Seniors can apply for local scholarships by exploring the scholarship folder on their grade level Google Classroom.

Classroom Connections

Law Enforcement classes have been learning about traffic stops and field sobriety tests.  Today Officer Johnson is teaching my students field sobriety tests....it's always a good thing for students to learn from an expert!!!

Driving simulation this week in the Law Enforcement classes. Grateful for Carter Hilton to help students navigate their simulator training in 6th period!!

Important BCPS Updates:

We are pleased to announce that Online Registration (OLR) for the 2026-2027 school year will officially open on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Please note a significant update to this year’s OLR process: we will be requiring all registering existing families to upload a current Photo ID/Driver's License of Parent/Guardian with their current address and 2 proofs of residency.

This is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy of our enrollment records and to ensure we have updated addresses for all our families.

We encourage you to begin preparing your necessary residency documentation ahead of the registration opening date, which will be March 9th.

Below you will find a list of acceptable documents:

Current Photo ID/Driver’s License

2 - Proofs of Residency:

-Authentic home builder contract with approved district transfer, lease, closing statement, or other home dwelling document.

-Utility bill: Current electricity, gas or water bill with current address

-Current employee check stub with current address

-Current vehicle registration that matches the driver’s license submitted

-Government agency correspondence with current address

    -Voter registration card

Thank you for your assistance as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.
