We hope you're staying warm and safe in the midst of this winter storm. Here are your updates for this week:

WINTER WEATHER IMPACTS & UPDATES

We're in the midst of what appears to be a severe winter weather system.  Due to weather impacts, we will have NO IN PERSON LEARNING ON MONDAY (JANUARY 26) OR TUESDAY (JANUARY 27).  Monday will be a Traditional Snow Day with a decision on whether Tuesday will be an NTI Day to be made tomorrow. 

If/when decisions regarding school days are made, that information will be communicated over all of our channels (email, text, social media).  

NEW NTI SCHEDULE REMINDERS

In the case of having to utilize a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI), please review the schedule HERE.  

Highlights include:
-Common start time of 9:00 AM for all grade levels
-Common lunch time/break from 11:30 - 12:30
-Balance of synchronous (live on screen) and asynchronous (independent student work) time.

Teachers will remain available throughout the day (9:00 - 3:40) for any support needed from students and/or parents.   

APEX LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

We're excited to welcome the APEX Leadership Program to CES on January 26 - February 6.  

Apex provides an amazing two-week interactive leadership program that encourages development of leadership habits, good character, and fitness.  Every student at our school participates in the daily leadership and character lessons, receives daily lesson silicone wristbands, enjoys classroom & school wide rewards, and takes part in the celebratory, high-energy fitness event.
