Let us know if your child is going to be absent
Please call the school at 502-869-3600 if your child is going to be absent. You can also report an absence on our website. You will find "Student Absence Form" listed on Freedom's home page. Click on that icon which will take you to a Google form. You can even upload a doctor or parent note from that form. You will still get an automatic call from the district.
Moment of Silence...
Per state legistlation, schools are required to observe a moment of silence daily. We have dedicated time for this during our morning announcements. You can read more about it here.

Beginning this year, no over-the-counter medicine will be distributed at school unless there is a doctor's note on file. Students cannot carry cough drops or any other form of medicine.
Please allow time for our staff to upload records into Infinite Campus. As you send them in, we are working quickly to get them into Infinite Campus. However, we have just under 600 students so it may take a little while.
Clear water bottles are an expectation.
Our next SBDM meeting is this Monday, August 18, at 4:00.

We can't forget to mention our fabulous PTA. They are having a membership drive. The class with the most PTA signups by this Sunday will receive a popcorn party. You can sign up at the link below. Watch for permission slips for the Back to School dances at the end of August. The next PTA meeting will be on August 18 @ 6:00 at the Bullitt County Library in Shepherdsville.

Our 5th grade classes participated in a "Book Tasting" this week to sample books to read.
