September 5, 2025

We had a great week of learning. Today we had a monthly assembly celebrating our August Students of the Month who demonstrated kindness and honored those with perfect attendance.

A special shout out was given to Ms. Eskridge for her positivity and willingness to lend a helping hand.

 High Attendance Day

We will be celebrating High Attendance Day on September 9 by having a Pep Rally! We would like all students to wear a Freedom shirt or dress in red, white, and blue. Lots of fun activities and prizes are planned for the day! SHOWING UP MATTERS!!!!

 Childhood Cancer Awareness Week

This week, the district is bringing awareness to childhood cancer by collecting items for a toy drive. Please see this link for donation requests.

Students can wear pajamas on Monday to "Put Cancer to Bed". Wednesday, students can wear a hat to "Put a Cap on It." On Thursday, students can wear boots to "Give Cancer the Boot". Students can wear their favorite team shirt on Friday to "Team Up for a Cure". Remember to wear Freedom shirts or red, white, a blue on Tuesday.

Please take time to complete this survey. This helps the Family Resource Center to determine how they can best serve our students.

September's character focus is Respect. Every morning we begin with a Freedom pledge that states that we will show respect for all.

Toys and games should stay at home. They are a distraction to learning. Items are often lost on the bus and at school. Speaking of lost items, our Lost & Found collection grows everyday. If your child is missing something, please advise them to check out the Lost & Found in the cafeteria.

We are excited to start our 3rd-5th grade Choir practice this week. Ms. Minnis, our music teacher, will begin to work with students after school on Tuesday. We are so excited to see and hear our young vocalists grow.
