It was good to see all students back for in-person learning on Monday. We had a week of learning, iReady testing, Book Fair, and spring-like weather. Kindergarten, first, and second grade will take the iReady assessment next week.

Kindergarten promotion will be Wednesday, May 28 at 9:30 a.m. 5th grade promotion will be Thursday, May 29 at 9:30 a.m. We ask that only 4 visitors per student attend. There is limited space in the gym. We also ask that siblings who attend Freedom not attend.

Field day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27. If the forecast is for rain on that day, we will move Field Day to the last day of school, Friday, May 30.

Thank you for getting your child registered for next year. It helps us prepare.

I got to meet Mealton, the official mascot of School Nutrition Services, last week. Students from all over the district voted for the official mascot and he made his debut last week. He will be visiting Freedom soon. Speaking of nutrition, our cafeteria manager wanted to let you know that the lunch menu may not be accurate from now until the end of the year.
