Freedom has seen a lot of sickness in the past month. We want to encourage all of our students to be fever free for 24 hours before coming back to school. However, when students are not sick, we need them to be at school. Did you know that school attendance affects literacy success? A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn.

Chromebooks
Chromebooks will go home on days when inclement weather is forecasted. This will help us be prepared in case we have to go to NTI (non traditional instruction). This is just a precaution. The district is the only one that can and will call off school.
If your child has not paid a technology fee, a packet of work will be sent home.
Please make sure that your child returns to school with their Chromebook the next day of school.
Newspapers needed
Mrs. Hines, our STEM teacher, is in need of newspapers for classroom work. We will be collecting them through January.
Chess Club
Our chess coach is not going to be able to lead our students this year. Therefore, we are still in need of a chess coach. Please reach out to Mrs. Wilson if you know someone who could help.
