Veterans Day

On Tuesday, we honored our veterans with songs, letters, and applause. Our new choir led us in The Star Spangled Banner and later the 2nd graders joined them with Thank You Soldiers. Several 5th graders narrated the assembly and Colton Luckett read a letter to them. Every veteran left with artwork created by our students.

I tasked all of the students with having discussions at home about veterans in their own family.

Chromebooks

Chromebooks will start coming home daily starting Thanksgiving break.  Kentucky is prone to turn to winter without warning so we want to be prepared in case of an NTI day. Please monitor your child if they use the device at home.

A big thank you to North Bullitt's JROTC for coming to Freedom and demonstrating how to raise and lower the flag.  Four of our fifth graders were chosen to be responsible for care of our new flag.

Car Rider Procedures

If your child normally rides a bus but the bus is not running, you will need to follow our procedures for arrival and dismissal.  All vehicles must have a car rider tag displayed.  All students were given tags at Open House or when they enrolled. If you don't have yours, please come to the front office.
