Freedom Elementary School
We are glad that students are back to school this week. We have just 8 days until our next break for the presidential election. Upon our return on November 6, we have fifteen school days until Thanksgiving break and then 15 more days until Christmas break.
There is a lot of learning to happen before we leave for Christmas. Please make sure your child is here every day. If your child is sick, please call the office and send a note upon their return.
Safe Schools Week begins Monday, October 28, and is a dress up week for us.
Monday--- Wear Red
Tuesday---Wear a shirt with a positive or kind message.
Wednesday---Costume day (Please do not wear masks, wigs, or bring weapon-like props.)
On Monday, October 28 we will have our annual Family Literacy Night. Families are invited to eat, play games, and trick or treat.
Festivities start at 5:00 and go until 6:30. Please see the link attached for more information and to register.
The Scholastic Book Fair is set up in our library from 10/21 to 10/28. Students and a guest can shop during their scheduled library time this week. It will also be open during our Title 1 Family Literacy Night.
School picture day is Tuesday, October 22. Bring your smiles.
Families may eat breakfast with their student this week from 8:30 to 9:00. Please arrive by 8:40 so that your child has time to eat and get to class. Kindergarten and M-T Preschool eat on Tuesday. 1st grade is Wednesday and 2nd grade and W-Th are Thursday.
